I wouldn’t say I usually like villains more than heroes, but one character that always comes to mind is the Joker from The Dark Knight.

Obviously, I don’t agree with what he does. But as a character, he was fascinating. You never really knew what he was going to do next, and he completely changed the atmosphere whenever he appeared.

Sometimes a well-written villain can be more memorable than the hero because they make you think about the story differently.

For me, that’s probably what makes a great villain — not that you agree with them, but that you can’t stop thinking about them.
